Southlands Renovation

Tasked with adding color & life to a dark home, we collaborated with our clients to create a truly personalized space. This beautifully eclectic home serves multiple generations and needs to honor that in every selection.

On the main floor we developed the design creating an entirely new look while keeping many existing features and cabinetry with little construction. Existing cabinetry was painted, trim was added along with wallpaper and lots of additional lights. In the kitchen we had an already functional space so the layout could remain as-is along with existing appliances to simply revitalize it with a coat of paint, new countertops, backsplash, cabinet hardware and a much, much larger island with space for stools!

The office, which previously had no lights, was made functional with the addition of library lights to highlight the open shelves and a ceiling mount fixture to provide much more functionality to the space. We also injected a lot of style with a very bold blue paint on the cabinetry & all walls & added texture by backing the open shelves with a gray wool wallcovering. The wallpaper also created a great backdrop for the clients' collections. With little construction involved we had the opportunity to concentrate our efforts on furnishing the home with all new pieces including a custom sectional fir to perfection for the living room and sleek chairs for the dining room.
