Southlands Basement Renovation
For the lower floor renovation we started from scratch which allowed for a more contemporary touch. This floor did not have a bathroom or a proper guest bedroom as it was fully open to the rec room.
With our priority list in place we reworked a nonfunctional floor plan to include a private guest bedroom, large rec room and spa-like bathroom with a walk in shower. In the bathroom we concealed an angled fireplace chimney by curving the shower wall in front of it creating a spectacular feature tile wall and infinity bench.
You'd never guess such a beautiful feature came about by trying to hide something. This whole floor is now well used and well loved.
“It is hard to express how lucky we feel to have been working with Lindsay on the renovation of our home. As a multi-generational household, Lindsay was able to take each family member's aesthetics into account and not only design, but create an absolutely beautiful and functional home. We were "wowed" by her ideas, talents, and designs and equally impressed by her ability to work incredibly well with all the trades involved. She took our dark, cold house and turned it into a home that we all love and enjoy.”
